# Steps for connecting the DSP to the Yandex SSP

## Support for the Yandex RTB protocol

The RTB protocol is based on the [OpenRTB](https://iabtechlab.com/standards/openrtb/) open protocol with adaptations for the Yandex SSP. Make sure that your system is ready to accept requests and send responses in the documented format.

The DSP must send the response to the IP address that the request came from.

## Creative moderation

To submit advertising materials (creatives) for moderation, just place a bet with this creative. You can receive a notification about the [reason for a loss](https://yandex.ru/dev/rtb/doc/en/api/bid-loss-notification.md) whose status can also indicate the creative moderation status. Every submitted creative is manually checked in the moderation system to make sure it meets the Yandex requirements for advertising materials and the requirements of the federal law “On Advertising”.
