Donuzlav Lake
The deepest lake in Crimea and the largest lake in Chernomorsky municipal region. Its greatest depth is 27 meters, which is twice deeper than that of the Sea of Azov. The main factors for recreation are beaches with soft white sand and smooth increase in depth, a gentle coastline, clear and rapidly warming water. There are many centers for active water sports on the lake.

The ancient settlement of Kalos-Limen
Kalos-Limen (“Beautiful Harbor”) is the largest antique settlement in the Western Crimea. It was founded in the 4th century BC and retained its vital importance as a harbor, trade and craft center until the first centuries AD. This is one of the most valuable monuments of ancient Greek and Scythian culture, which at their time was mentioned by many ancient and medieval authors: Herodotus, Strabo, Flavius Arrian, etc.

Belyaus Spit
The wide sandy-shell beach is known to so many beach tourism lovers. The spit separates the waters of the Black Sea and salty Donuzlav Lake. Most of the territory remains “wild”. A clean, soft bottom without algae and instantly warming shallow water make this place convenient for families with children and lovers of night spearfishing. The water stays surprisingly clear even after the tides.

Wind power plants
There are several large wind stations with a total capacity of about 87 megawatts in Crimea. Mirnovskaya Power Plant is the largest wind station on the peninsula in terms of the number of wind turbines. Wind plants are one of the main ways to generate electricity in an environmentally friendly manner.

Chalice of Love
The picturesque, completely enclosed stone poll surrounded by white rocks which resembles the shape of a heart. Only a small underwater tunnel, pierced by waves in the limestone strata, connects it to the open sea.

Atlesh Rocks
The rocks of the Tarkhankut peninsula are divided into two capes, Bolshoy (“Big”) and Maly (“Small”). Over the centuries, water and wind have given them a bizarre shape with “stairs”, grottoes, caves and arches.

Tarkhankut lighthouse
The lighthouse was built in 1816. In the same year, a twin lighthouse was built according to the same project — the Chersonesos lighthouse. The lighthouse is a 38-meter structure, built of white Inkerman limestone.
