# How to register creative content in Adfox

When setting up an ad campaign in Adfox, you can simultaneously register creative content with the [Yandex advertising data operator](https://ord.yandex.ru/). Each creative is assigned a unique ID (token). It is added to a [click link](*click-link) and [banner menu](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/ad-label.md) (if it's enabled in the banner parameters).

In the following sections, you can learn more about specific aspects of registering certain types of ad creatives:

- [Ads without Adfox impressions](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/without-delivery.md)
- [Self-promotion](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/self-promotion.md)
- [Social ads](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/social.md)

{% note warning %}

If you register creative content with the Yandex advertising data operator in the Adfox interface, an ad register report must also be submitted [in the Adfox interface](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/report.md).

{% endnote %}

## Step 1. Create contractors (advertising chain participants) {#step-1}

1. In the Adfox interface, go to the **Marking** → **Counterparties** tab.
1. Create a counterparty that will be the **end advertiser**:

    1. Click **Create** in the upper-right corner of the screen.
    1. Fill out the form that opens with information about the end advertiser, which is the customer whose products or services you'll be advertising on your resource.

        To learn how to label ads of your own products and services, see [Labeling self-promotion](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/self-promotion.md).

    1. Click **Create**.

1. Create a **provider** counterparty to be a party under the contract with the end advertiser:

    - If you signed the contract directly with the advertiser, enter your data.
    - If there's an intermediary (agency) in the advertising chain, specify the details of the agency that the end advertiser signed the contract with.

1. Create the **site owner** counterparty whose resource you'll place ads on (if they weren't added as a provider before).

Once the changes have been saved, the counterparties are assigned IDs in the Yandex advertising data operator.

For a counterparty to have the **Is an advertising distributor** flag, add a site with ad labeling enabled.

{% note info %}

If you create multiple counterparties with the same TIN, make sure they have different roles. You can also create a single counterparty with a dual role: **Customer and provider**.

{% endnote %}

## Step 2. Add information about your contracts {#step-2}

In the **Contracts** section, specify all your contracts in accordance with your advertising chain type.

1. Go to **Marking** → **Contracts**.
1. Select **Create** at the top right.
1. In the **Contract type** field, select one of the options:

    - **Service agreement**

    - **Additional agreement**

    - **Mediation agreement**

        {% note info %}

        If you select the **Mediation agreement** type, make sure to fill in the **Intermediary function** field.

        If you set the intermediary function to **Advertiser's Representative** and the contractor isn't a foreign entity, the **The intermediary/attorney / commission agent/ agent under the specified agreement assumes the payment of the fee** option becomes available. Enable it to notify the state register (ERIR) that, under the contract, the fee will be paid by the contractor.

        {% endnote %}

1. Enter the details of the contract with the end advertiser. This contract can be concluded both directly with you and with an agency (intermediary). In the latter event, specify the details of the contract between the agency and the end advertiser.

1. In the **Contract role** field, select one of the options:
    - **Agreement between the Publisher and the Advertiser** — if the advertiser and the site owner (publisher) have a direct contract without intermediaries.

        ![](../_images/direct-contract.svg)

    - **Agreement between the Advertiser and the Performer** — if the advertiser has a contract with an agency (provider) that ordered placement from the site owner (publisher).

        ![](../_images/contracts-scheme.svg)

1. Select the **Type of agreement**:

    - **Commercial agreement**
    - **Social advertising contract with payment**
    - **Social advertising contract by quota**

    If the contract isn't related to social advertising, select the **Commercial agreement** type.

    To learn how to label social ad creatives, see [Labeling of social ads](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/social.md#register).

1. Click **Create**. Once the changes are saved, the contract is assigned an ID in the Yandex ADO.

If you plan to submit ad register reports in the Adfox interface, you must also specify data about the [final contract](*final-contract) if there are agencies among advertising chain participants. You can do this at any time: before running a campaign, while it's running, or when submitting reports. To learn more, see [Ad register reports](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/report.md).

If you need to change a contract or sign an additional agreement in an active advertising campaign for a new reporting period, create a new campaign. Linking a new contract to the current campaign will change the information about the contract over the entire period.

## Step 3. Add the ad register data to the site structure in Adfox {#step-3}

{% note warning %}

This step is mandatory if:
- At least one of the contractors added earlier is an [ad distributor](*ad-distributor) or [advertising system operator](*advertising-system-operator).
- You plan to submit ad register reports [in the Adfox interface](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/report.md).

{% endnote %}

1. Go to the **Inventory** tab and click **Add** or open the settings of an existing site.
1. Enable the **Transfer the site to the ERIR** option. This opens the **Marking** section.
1. Fill in the fields:

    <!-- source: en/_includes/labeling/token/site-labeling.md -->
    - **Platform type**: Site, app, information system, Smart TV, or HbbTV.
    - **Name**: Website name to be added to the ad register.
    - **Site URL**: Site or video resource domain, blog URL, or URL for downloading an app that starts with `http://` or `https://`.

        If the website is hosted on a third-party platform, please provide its exact URL. For example, the URL of a Telegram channel or blog on Zen.

    - **Contractor**: Counterparty (domain, video resource, blog, or app owner) that you added in the **Marking** tab earlier.

        If the contractor isn't the sole owner of the resource (for example, an aggregator website), leave the field empty.

    {% note info %}

    If you disable labeling for a site or remove it from Adfox, that site will be considered obsolete. This means you won't be able to transmit its ad delivery statistics.

    {% endnote %}
    <!-- endsource: en/_includes/labeling/token/site-labeling.md -->

1. If you're adding a new site, fill in the **Main** section and proceed to adding sections and placements.

## Step 4. Add the ad register data to a campaign {#step-4}

{% note info %}

Starting from the API version v5, you no longer need to specify the **OKVED** code for ERIR.

{% endnote %}

1. Create an ad campaign by following the [instructions](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/campaigns/add-new.md) or open the parameters of a created campaign.
1. Under **Advertising labeling**, find the **Marking procedure** field and select **Submit data to state register**.
1. Do the following in the additional fields that open:

    - If the campaign was created under a direct agreement between the advertiser and the platform (without intermediaries), specify the **[Direct]** contract in the **Agreement between the Advertiser and the Performer** field.
    - If your advertising chain involves intermediaries, fill in the following two fields:

        - In **Agreement between the Advertiser and the Performer**, specify the **[Primary]** contract.
        - In **Agreement between the Publisher and the Customer (Intermediary)**, specify the **[Final]** contract.

    - In the **Campaign type** field, specify the payment model: CPM, CPC, CPA, or other.

    By default, labeling is disabled in the [flight](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/campaigns/hierarchy.md#flights) settings. You need to enable labeling manually for each flight. New banners inherit their labeling settings from the associated flight.

    {% note alert %}

    If you're editing a created campaign, set the ad register settings for the previously added flights and banners manually.

    {% endnote %}

1. Save the changes.

## Step 5. Add information about a creative to a banner {#step-5}

{% list tabs %}

- If a banner is created

  1. Open the banner parameters: go to the **Banners** tab in the ad campaign parameters, find the desired banner, and click ![](../_images/parameters.svg)**Settings**.
  1. If necessary, add the [“Ad” or “Social ad” label and the banner menu](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/labeling/ad-label.md).

      <!-- source: en/_includes/labeling/ad-label/non-clickable.md -->
      {% note info %}

      If the banner is non-clickable (the **Transition URL** field is empty) and has not been added to the ad register, you can enable the banner menu to make the token available when serving the banner.

      {% endnote %}
      <!-- endsource: en/_includes/labeling/ad-label/non-clickable.md -->

  1. <!-- source: en/_includes/labeling/token/marking.md -->
     Under **Advertising labeling**, check and fill in these fields:

     - **Marking procedure**: If the creative is to be added to the ad register, select **Submit data to state register**. Once you add the banner, information about the ad creative is sent to the state register via the Yandex advertising data operator.

         {% note info %}

         If the banner isn't to be added to the ad register, select **Do not submit data to state register**.

         {% endnote %}

     - **Display regions**: Select what information about the banner's display regions should be sent to ERIR:

         * **Do not transfer**: Display region data isn't sent to ERIR (default option).
         * **All of Russia**: The banner is served across Russia.
         * **Specify regions manually**: Select one or more regions from the list.

         {% note warning %}

         **All of Russia** and manual region selection are different values. If you don't limit ad impressions by region, select **All of Russia**.

         {% endnote %}

     - **The code of the KKTU reference book**: Select the classification code of the advertised products and services. When you click the field, the autofill values appear:

         * Recommended: Code determined by computer vision algorithms when you upload the creative image.
         * Recently used: Five values most frequently used in your campaigns.

         If you don't want to use the suggested values, search the list by category name or code. Only one value can be selected.

     - **Ad distribution type**: Specify the creative format (such as banner, Combinatorial ad, or video ad).

     - **General description of the advertised object**: Add a general description of the advertised products or services. Clicking the field autofills it with the value that was determined by computer vision algorithms when you uploaded the creative image. If the creative is uploaded as an HTML code, a video, or a GIF file, you won't be able to generate the description automatically. In this case, fill in the field manually. We recommend providing the names of brands, types and characteristics of the products or services, as well as additional information about the ad creative.

         Required if the **The code of the KKTU reference book** field specifies `Прочие товары и услуги (30.15.1)` (Other goods and services).

     - **Target URL**: You can specify multiple URLs using the **Add** button. Each URL must begin with the protocol. Maximum URL length is 2000 characters.
     <!-- endsource: en/_includes/labeling/token/marking.md -->

  1. <!-- source: en/_includes/labeling/token/marking.md -->
     Make sure that data submission to the Russian state register (ERIR) is enabled for the ad content:

     - If you see the ![](../_images/er-on.svg) icon next to the field for your creative, this means that information about it will be sent to ERIR automatically.

         You can [set up data submission to the state register](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/ad-inventory/settings/template.md#auto-transfer-erir) yourself for custom templates. Automatic data submission to ERIR is enabled by default for banner [preset templates](https://yandex.ru/support/adfox/en/ad-inventory/settings/template.md#predefined-template). If you don't see the ![](../_images/er-on.svg) icon next to a parameter with creative content that must be sent to ERIR, go to the template settings and enable labeling for this parameter.

         <!-- source: en/_includes/settings/template/erir-on.md -->
         1. Open the template parameters.
         1. In the line with the variable responsible for the ad creative file, select a value for the **Marking** parameter:

             - **Use as URL**: If you upload a file (image or video) to this variable.
             - **Use as text data**: If the variable contains text (banner title or text). For the **HTML code** variable, also select the **Use as text data** value.

               {% note info %}

               Don't enable data submission to the state register for the **Transition URL** variable.

               {% endnote %}
