Yandex Browser syncing between devices
Syncing refers to the exchange of data between Yandex Browsers on your devices. Personal information and passwords in an encrypted format are temporarily stored on a Yandex server. The data is transferred over a secure channel. Data on the server is protected by the authorization system used on Yandex services. Syncing allows you to access data from all your devices and restore data if your device is lost or broken.
On mobile devices, the browser syncs with itself and with the Yandex app. But Yandex Browser for Mobile doesn't sync with other browsers.
How syncing works
Sites on the Tableau, bookmarks, and open tabs are synced by default.
After you enable syncing, data will be synced each time you change data that is stored on the server. For example: When you add a bookmark to your tablet, the browser sends it to the server and simultaneously downloads all the changes made on other devices (starting from the time when it was last synced).
Use syncing to:
- Recover passwords, bookmarks, tabs, and browser settings even if your tablet stops working.
You can turn off syncing or adjust the list of data to sync at any time when using the browser.
