Safari: Yandex style

Note. This feature is available on devices running on iOS 15.0 and higher.

Launch both Safari and Yandex. The new tab will have the familiar design:

  • Yandex Search: Use the SmartBox to enter addresses and search queries. Suggestions that appear under the SmartBox can speed up the search process.
  • Image search: Find out who or what is in the photo or find similar images or products. To start the seach, tap in the SmartBox and then take a photo or select it from the gallery.
  • Tableau: Open your favorite sites in one tap. Your Tableau displays default tiles for some Yandex services, but you can replace them with other sites. You can have a maximum of 8 tiles on the Tableau.
  • A new background every day.

How to enable

Note. To enable the function, install the Yandex app or Yandex Browser for Mobile .
  1. Open your device settings.
  2. Tap Safari  → Extensions.
  3. Turn on Yandex in the new tab.
  4. On the same screen, tap Open new tabs.
  5. Select Yandex in the new tab.

How to configure

You can configure Safari so that the design of the main page resembles Yandex Browser. To do this:

  1. Open the Safari browser.
  2. In the upper-right corner tap .
  3. Enable the necessary options (Traffic, Weather, Tableau, or No background).
