Import passwords from the browser
- Click .
- Open Settings.
- In the Passwords section, click Import passwords.
- If you have already created a master password, enter it to access your vault.
- In the Select import source section, select the browser from which you want to import passwords.
The browser will start importing passwords. When it stops, the browser will show you how many passwords have been added.
As you install Yandex Browser, it offers to transfer passwords and other data from the browser set as the default in your operating system. You can select a different browser or refuse to import passwords.
Once imported, passwords are encrypted with a key generated by Yandex Browser. For better security, we recommend creating a master password and a backup encryption key.
Import passwords from the password manager
- Export the passwords from the program to a file. You can follow the instructions for 1Password, LastPass, or Kaspersky Password Manager.
- Open Yandex Browser.
- Click .
- Open Settings.
- In the Passwords section, click Import passwords.
- If you have already created a master password, enter it to access your vault.
- In the Select import source section, select the browser from which you want to import passwords.
- Enter the password file and click Open.
The browser will start importing passwords. When all the passwords are imported, the browser will show you how many passwords have been added.
