Mailbox aliases

Aliases are additional names of mailboxes. You can use them to assign multiple addresses to a single mailbox. For example, you can add the advertising@ alias for an employee who manages advertising. After this, emails sent to the addresses advertising@вашДомен.com will be delivered to this employee's mailbox.

Each alias can only be associated with one mailbox. To move an alias from employee A to employee B, delete it for employee A and then create the same alias for employee B.

If you simply delete an alias, emails sent to this alias will end up in the special mailbox specified in mail settings for your organization.

Create an alias

Aliases can be created in employee profiles:

  1. Open the Organization structure page.

  2. Open the profile for the employee you need (one way is to use the search field).

  3. In the employee profile, click , then select Manage aliases.

  4. Click Add new alias.

  5. Enter the email address for the alias and click Add.

You do not need to set a separate password for aliases. To set up a mail client or mail collector from this address, the employee can just use their main password.

Delete an alias

To delete an alias, open the employee profile:

  1. Open the Organization structure page.

  2. Open the profile for the employee you need (one way is to use the search field).

  3. In the employee profile, click , then select Manage aliases.

  4. Put the cursor on the alias and click the red "x" that appears:
