Turbo pages

Turbo pages are landing pages with accelerated loading speeds that are served on mobile devices. With Turbo pages, users can learn more about a promotional offer and leave a request without clicking through to the full site. Turbo pages help advertisers increase their conversion rate in cases where their site is not optimized for mobile, or takes a long time to load or displays incorrectly on mobile devices and tablets.

When ads are served on mobile devices, the website link or sitelink will lead to a Turbo page. If the ad is served on a desktop or tablet, the link will lead to your main site page.

You can add a Turbo page for your website link or one of your sitelinks when you create or edit Text & Image Ads. Click Turbo page → Choose, and then create a Turbo page using the builder or choose one that was previously added.

How to create a Turbo page

The Turbo Page Builder will help you create your own Turbo pages based on prepared templates. You can create an unlimited number of Turbo pages for free. You don't need any special skills or experience to create them.

On the ad editing page, click Turbo page → Choose. In the window that appears, click Add → Create Turbo page and enter a name for the Turbo page. You can use lower-case letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores in the name. Select one of the templates to open the window where you can create Turbo pages.

The Turbo page has two mandatory sections: Header and Legal information. To add other sections, click +Add in the top left corner. You can edit the layout of sections on the Turbo page in Navigation — simply drag the section to the desired location. To remove an optional section, click .

Click the section you want to edit in the preview area or on the Navigation tab. On the tab that opens, configure the elements for the selected section.

Set your contact info

In the Feedback section, set the type and location of the button that customers can click to write to you or call. Enter the contact information: phone number, email address, and link to a social network or messenger.

Add images

In the Multimedia section, you can add an image, slider, or gallery (a group of images that you can scroll through). With the slider, a description is added to each image, whereas in the gallery, one description is added for all the images. You can use your own images, library images, or previously used images. If you crop an image, the 16:9 aspect ratio will be preserved.

Create a request form

In the Form section, add the necessary fields and choose which fields are required. Enter an email address. Customer requests sent from Turbo pages will be sent to this address.

Enter the legal information

When filling out legal information, keep in mind that the Turbo page must include all the information that is required by law and Yandex guidelines.

You can view all changes you make instantly in the preview area.

To save your draft Turbo pages and continue working on them later, click Save in the upper-right corner. When you have finished creating the page, select Publish in the drop-down list. The published Turbo page can be edited at any time.

Attention. You can only use published Turbo pages in your ads.

To copy a link to a draft or published turbo page, go to  → Links.

Turbo pages you created are saved in the library. To open the library, click the Turbo pages link on the My campaigns page. For your convenience, you can use folders and create Turbo pages directly from them. To create folders, click Add → Create folder in the library and enter a name.

You can create a new Turbo page based on ones that you made earlier. Just select a Turbo page and click Save as. Enter a name for the new Turbo page and the location where you want to save it.

Impression statistics

A tag labeled Turbo Pages will automatically appear in your Yandex.Metrica account when you create your first Turbo page. This tag will be used in all Turbo pages for your account. You can use it to analyze the effectiveness of your Turbo pages and figure out how to improve them. The tag is only available for viewing.

This tag will be linked to Yandex.Metrica goals:

You can use the Report Wizard to evaluate the results of your Turbo page ads. For example, to see how much lower your bounce rate is on mobile devices, use the Ad number cross section. In Columns, select Bounces. Then add the filter Device type → mobile.

You can add various parameters and tags to the Turbo page link, so that web analytics systems (like Yandex.Metrica) can receive additional information about traffic for this link. On the ad editing page, click +Add parameters to links. Parameters will be added to all Turbo page links, including for sitelinks. Learn more about URL parameters.

Group campaign management

You can add or remove Turbo pages from multiple ad groups at once using the mass changes feature. On the campaign page, check the boxes next to the names of the ads you want to change. A list of possible options will appear at the bottom of the page. Choose Edit and click Apply. On the page that opens, click Mass changes → Turbo pages, then specify the Turbo page or select the option Remove from all ads.

Manage request forms

Forms submitted from Turbo pages are sent to the email address specified in the Turbo Page Builder. You can also use the Yandex.Direct API to retrieve them.

If you aren't receiving any requests, find out whether users are submitting them. To do this in Yandex.Metrica, check the goal metrics for the Turbo Pages tag:

  • Form page — Send data button click.
  • Thank you page — Open.
