Action button

Action buttons are added to video ads of your display campaigns or to Text & Image ads in unified performance campaigns with an image or video. It draws attention and encourages users to interact with your ad. The button adds one more link to your ad. Clicking a text or video can direct a user to one website page while the action button can point to a different webpage. Alternatively, links may point to the same destination.

How to configure

By default, the action button is configured automatically: neutral text, for example, “Learn more” or “Go to site” and a link that matches the ad link.

You can choose a more motivating text for the button and specify a different link when creating or editing the ad. To do this, in the Button section, select the appropriate text and specify the link to the landing page. It may differ from the link in the ad.

You can use bulk actions to add the button to multiple Text & Image ads in the unified performance campaign.

Impression statistics for ads with additional design elements is available in the Report wizard. To analyze the number of clicks on the button, select the cross section Click position → Button.
