Question series

A series of questions combines different types of questions. When the user fills out a form, they can copy a series of questions and answer them again. This comes in handy when you need to add the same type of information several times on a single form.

For example, you can add a series of questions with the First name, Last name, and Email fields to a form for registering event participants. Then the user can create a group application for taking part in the event by copying the series of questions and entering multiple participants' data in the same form.

You can also use a series to group multiple questions together and set up common display conditions for them.

To create a series of questions:

  1. In the list of questions, select Question series.

  2. Enter the series name and ID.

  3. To add the first question to the series:

    • Select the first question from the list inside the Question series block.
    • You can also drag a previously created question there using the icon.
  4. To add the next question to the series:

    • Hover over the top or bottom of the first question and click .
    • You can also drag a previously created question to the Question series block using the icon.

If you create a series out of questions from the Tests and quizzes category, then scoring won't work in the test.

You can edit questions in a series the same way you edit individual questions.

  • To change where a series of questions is placed on a form, hover over the series and drag the icon to the right place. Similarly, you can change the order of questions within a series.

  • To show or hide a series of questions based on previous user answers, click  Display conditions in the top right corner of the block. For more information, see Configure display conditions for questions or pages.
