Configuring pre-filling of forms

You can configure a form so that when the user opens it, specified values are automatically inserted into fields or certain answers are pre-selected.

You can use pre-filling:

• To suggest the answer options that you think are preferable or most likely.

• To send auxiliary or technical parameters to hidden fields in the form (for example, for gathering statistics).

You can configure pre-felling for Short answer and Long answer questions directly in the form builder. These include the following question types:

• Short text​
• Long text​
• Number​
• Phone number​
• TIN​
• Email​
• Link​

To make sure that a question is pre-filled when the form is opened, click Add default value and enter the value.

For more flexible pre-filling settings (for example, for questions with multiple answer options), send the question ID and the answer value to the form using GET parameters in the form URL
