# Mirrors

You can add photos of a city or street to Yandex Maps by taking snapshots of your route as you walk or drive.
To take snapshots of a route:
1. Tap ** (profile picture)** → **Capture roads** → **Start road capture**.
1. [Allow](https://yandex.ru/support/m-maps/en/permission-notifications.md#how-to-give) the app to access your camera if you're using it to take a photo for the first time.
1. Read the instructions and tap **Got it**.
1. Tap and start moving along the route. Make sure road signs are in the frame.
1. To end road capture, tap . If you want to continue, tap .
To upload snapshots to Yandex Maps:
1. Tap the **View** button that shows the number of snapshots taken.
1. Tap **Upload**. The snapshots will appear in Yandex Maps after they pass moderation.
