  • On the map, tap and select Parking. Find your destination point on the map, when plotting a route, or in Navigator mode.

  • In the place card, tap Show parking info.

  • Using a voice assistant. For example, say "Alice, find a place where I can park". After that, Alice will enable the parking layers on the map.

  1. Find parking.

  2. Tap the parking icon to view details including parking type, rates, available spaces, hours, address, photos, and reviews. The contents of the card depend on the parking.

  3. Tap Directions. The app will plot a route to the selected parking.

If the route is already plotted, you can tap the parking icon and select Add stop.

Pay for parking

Alert

In the app, you can only pay for parking at open on-street parking spaces or parking lots without boom gates, owned by Moscow Parking (GKU AMPP, Moscow).

You should pay within 5 minutes after parking your vehicle. Otherwise, you'll get a fine.

Before paying, make sure that:

  • Your vehicle has no active parking sessions in other services, including Moscow Parking.
  • The vehicle number and parking zone number are both correct.
  1. Find parking.
  2. Open the parking card and tap Pay for parking. If there is no payment button, you can't pay for parking in the parking space through the app.
  3. Add information about your vehicle or select a vehicle from the list.
  4. Specify the time period and tap Pay. After a successful payment, the parking session will start, and the timer will appear on the screen.

After payment, a widget displaying your parking status will appear on your lock screen.

What the widget looks like

If your device supports Live Activity, you'll see a notification with your parking status on the lock screen. If you end your parking session early, the widget will close immediately. If your parking session timer expires naturally, the widget will close after a while.

Get a payment receipt

Your parking payment information is sent to Moscow Parking, so you can't get a receipt for the parking amount in the Yandex Maps app.

You can download detailed history of your parking account balance, including information about charges and top-ups, from your personal account on the Moscow Parking website. This history shows all charges and top-ups, and can serve as proof of payment if you need to appeal a fine.

Top up your parking account

The funds that remain after you finish a parking session are stored on your parking account. Payments for parking are deducted from this account.

You can top up your parking account through your account on the Moscow Parking website.

If your parking session ends early or fails to start, funds return to your parking account.

Extend or end a parking session

To extend an active (unfinished) session, tap Extend in the parking card and pay for additional time. You can extend the current session once.

If you need to extend the session again, the app will tell you when it will be possible. Wait for the timer to run out and pay for parking.

To end a parking session, tap End and confirm the action. If you don't want to end the parking session, tap Cancel.

If your parking session didn't start or ended early, we'll refund the money to your GKU AMPP parking account. You will be able to use it to pay for future parking.

To help you end your parking session on time and save money in your parking account, the app will send you a reminder. The notification will appear if you start driving or plan a route and tap Go.

If your parking session has ended but you need to extend it, edit the session start time on the Moscow Parking website. You can do that within 24 hours of starting the session.

View parking history

Tap (your profile picture) and go to ParkingHistory. There you'll find information about parking sessions you paid for through the Yandex Maps app.

If you need to edit information about the parking you've already paid for, go to your account on the Moscow Parking website. There, you'll be able to change the parking start or end time, parking zone number, or vehicle license plate number.

Parking fines

Note

You can appeal a fine within 10 days of receiving the traffic violation notice. To learn more, see the Moscow Parking website.

Check the Moscow Parking website for fine information.

Make sure that:

  • You pay within 5 minutes after parking your vehicle. Normally, a parking session starts within a few seconds after GKU AMPP receives a confirmation of your payment.
  • You enter the correct data (the vehicle and parking zone numbers).
  • You end parking sessions for the same vehicle in other services.

These steps will help you avoid fines.

If the fine timestamp isn't later than the parking session start time in your parking history, and the vehicle's license plate number and parking zone number in the app match the ones in the violation notice, but you have got a fine, contact support.
