Use the !@your_brand regular expression, where:

  • ! — negates condition.
  • @ — matches a string (case-insensitive).

Specify the regular expression for both Russian and English brand names.

For example, to exclude the “Alice in Wonderland” brand:

  • !@алиса в стране чудес — for the Russian version.
  • !@alice in wonderland for the English version.

Use the regular expression !~(brand|brand.rf|brend.ru), where:

  • ! — negates condition.
  • ~ — inversion (reverse logic).
  • | — “or” operator.

Report structure and settings

The report supports all settings available in Yandex Metrica.

Data in the report is grouped as follows:

  • A search query is a query by which a user found a link to the site and clicked on it. Search queries are not displayed in the report if:

    • the traffic for the selected period is less than 10;
    • there is a dimension or segment added that de-anonymizes users (e.g., “Landing page,” “Age,” etc.);
    • the search engine does not pass data to the referrer.
  • Search engine is the generic name of the service with search enabled. For example, Yandex.

Yandex Metrica finds queries using the referrer and browser cookies and does not detect them if:

  • the cookie has expired (e.g., the user left the page open for a long time, then refreshed or closed it);
  • the link from the search results redirects the user to another domain;
  • the user’s browser blocks cookies.

Note

Cookies are placed on the domain that the user goes to from search results.
