Beta testing
We continuously develop the app, striving to make it better with each new update. This would be difficult without the input of users who opt to try out our newest features and share their feedback with us. To this end, we do beta testing any user can take part in.
What is beta testing?
Generally, the beta version of the app offers several new features in addition to those already available in the public version.
Our team checks all new features before sending the app to beta testing. Nevertheless, there is always the chance that some defects or errors go undetected. If you stumble upon such an issue, we'd highly appreciate you reporting it.
You are always free to switch back from the beta version of the app to its public version.
Participate in beta testing
How to participate in beta testing
- Tap the link and then tap Become a tester.
- Go to the Yandex Navigator page in Google Play. At the bottom of the page, under Become a beta tester, tap Join.
You'll be able to access the current beta version in Google Play shortly after that (within a few hours, and possibly in just a few minutes).
Use Yandex Navigator and test out new features. You can find the list of these features in the app's beta version description on Google Play.
If you find any issues with the beta app, you can leave feedback via Google Play or via Yandex Navigator: go to Menu → Contact us.
How to stop participating in beta testing
- Go to the Yandex Navigator page in Google Play. At the bottom of the page, tap Leave program.
- Delete the beta version of Yandex Navigator and install the public version from Google Play.

Follow this link and download the TestFlight app (Apple test environment) from the App Store.

Open the TestFlight app.

Use Yandex Navigator and test out new features. You'll see a list of them in the description of the beta version in TestFlight.
If you want to report an issue or share your feedback, tap Send Feedback in TestFlight, or go to Menu → Contact us in Yandex Navigator.
How to stop participating in beta testing
- Delete the beta version of Yandex Navigator and install the public version from the App Store.
- Log in to TestFlight, select Yandex Navigator, and tap Unsubscribe.
You'll leave the beta testing program and will no longer receive release notifications for new beta versions.
