Change the cursor

The cursor shows your location on the map. By default, it looks like this: .

To customize your cursor's appearance:

1. Tap (profile picture). If you're not logged in, tap .

2. Tap Settings → Navigation.

3. Tap Car icon and select the cursor you prefer.

Show turn hints in the corner of the screen

While driving, turn and traffic lane hints appear on the map along the route. To pin them to the corner of the screen:

1. Tap (profile picture). If you're not logged in, tap .

2. Tap Settings → Navigation.

3. Enable Show turn hints in the corner of the screen.

Lock the map orientation north up

To lock the map's orientation to always point north up while on a route:

1. Tap (profile picture). If you're not logged in, tap .

2. Tap Settings → Navigation.

3. Enable North is always up.

Enable automatic map scaling

To enable or disable auto-zoom when moving along a route:

1. Tap (profile picture). If you're not logged in, tap .

2. Tap Settings → Navigation.

3. Turn the Auto-zoom option on or off.

Avoid toll roads

When plotting a car route that includes toll roads, you may see the costs of using them.
That's how it can look like:

• — the costs for the entire route are shown if we know them.
• — if we don't know the cost, it's not displayed.

Cost data is provided by toll road operating companies.

To plot routes avoiding or including toll roads:

1. Tap (profile picture). If you're not logged in, tap .

2. Tap Settings → Navigation.

3. Turn the Avoid toll roads option on or off.

Yandex Navigator ignores this setting if:

• The route can only be plotted with toll roads.
• You're plotting the route in offline mode.
• You're already on a toll road.

You can also configure the Avoid toll roads option when plotting a route.

Avoid bad and unpaved roads

To plot routes avoiding or including bad and unpaved roads:

1. Tap (profile picture). If you're not logged in, tap .

2. Tap Settings → Navigation.

3. Turn the Avoid bad and unpaved roads option on or off.

You can also configure the Avoid bad and unpaved roads option when plotting a route.
