Plot a route

Between points

  1. Tap .

  2. Fill in the From here and To fields. By default, From here displays your current location.

    Ways to update the fields:

    • Enter a place name or address.
    • Put a placemark on the map.
    • Select a point from your Favorites.
    • Select your saved Home or Work address.
    • Select a route from the History tab.
    • Enter the object coordinates and select the appropriate option from the list.

    If you're plotting a route to a large facility with several entrances (for example, an airport, hospital, park, or shopping center), Yandex Navigator will prompt you to specify the route's end point.

    How to set the end point of a route

    Available in select cities for car routes.

    Depending on the purpose of your trip, you can select nearby parking or a pick-up/drop-off location.

    To set the end point of a route, select the option from the list and tap Directions.

    If you do not need to specify the end point, tap Skip.

  3. Tap and enable the option:

    • Avoid toll roads: to exclude toll roads from the route.
    • Avoid bad and unpaved roads: to exclude bad roads from the route.
  4. You can also specify the time and date of departure.

    How to select the departure time and date

    Tap , select the departure date and time, and tap Done. The app will calculate the travel time.

    If you start moving along a route planned for later, Yandex Navigator may suggest another route that is currently optimal. The app will recalculate travel time depending on the current traffic conditions.

    To reset the settings, tap Reset.

  5. If Yandex Navigator offers multiple routes, choose one.

  6. Tap Go.

If your location can't be determined or is determined inaccurately, check your device settings.

You can also use points on the map to plot a route:

  1. Tap and hold the starting point on the map.
  2. Tap From here.

The selected point will appear in the From field.

  1. Tap and hold your destination point on the map.
  2. Tap Directions.

The selected point will appear in the To field, and the route to it will be plotted from your current location.

  1. Find the object on the map or in the search bar.

  2. Tap the place name to open the place card.

  3. In the object card, tap Directions.

  6. If Yandex Navigator offers multiple routes, choose one.

  7. Tap Go.

From saved places

  1. Tap (profile picture)Saved places and transport.

  2. Select a list of saved places.
  3. Tap .
  4. If you have more than 20 places in your list, select no more than 20. The route will always start at Current location.
  5. Tap and enable the option:

    • Avoid toll roads: to exclude toll roads from the route.
    • Avoid bad and unpaved roads: to exclude bad roads from the route.
  6. You can also specify the time and date of departure.

    How to select the departure time and date

    Tap , select the departure date and time, and tap Done. The app will calculate the travel time.

    If you start moving along a route planned for later, Yandex Navigator may suggest another route that is currently optimal. The app will recalculate travel time depending on the current traffic conditions.

  7. If Yandex Navigator offers multiple routes, choose one.

  8. Tap Go.

If the route consists of four or more points, it can be optimized.
