How to increase your site revenue
From time to time you should run experiments on the design of your ad blocks and monitor the interests of your audience. This will help you achieve a stable revenue. The optimal duration of an experiment is 2-3 weeks. Do not exploit the attention of your audience. Remember that sites whose main objective is to show ads actually violate the Terms of Participation of the Yandex Advertising Network.
You can noticeably increase your revenue if you research your site's statistics and experiment with the following inconspicuous changes:
Format and position of ad blocks. Different ad blocks may fit in differently with a site's design and, consequently, be more or less attractive to the audience. Try temporarily modifying the format or position of an ad block on your site's pages or in one of its sections and see how this affects your CTR. Analyze statistical data to choose the ad block format with the highest CTR.Tip. Before applying such modifications, we recommend that you check out our research on ad CTR.
Color scheme of ads. Choose several color scheme variants for ad blocks on your site and use each one of them on a rotation basis for a certain amount of time. Stick with the ad block color scheme that brings the highest CTR. For more information on design settings, see Direct ads design.
Number of ad bocks on a page. An increase in the number of ad blocks lets you increase your revenue, as it lets you place a larger number of ads on your site. This can be especially effective on pages with a large amount of text. The most profitable ads will be displayed in the ad block that is called first in the page's HTML code. The maximum number of ads that can be displayed on one page is nine, regardless of the number of ad blocks.
