Kids mode

Shedevrum has a special kids mode with stricter content moderation and other advanced security measures. It offers a bright interface and has voice prompts.

This mode can be activated in the account settings. After that, the app automatically switches to your kid's profile linked to the main adult account. Parents set a password to exit the kid's profile. You can't switch to the main adult profile without it.

Differences from the regular mode:

• More opportunities to be creative:

  • A bright, playful interface with updated images.
  • Voice prompts.

• Enhanced security:

  • Online privacy for children. Other users can't follow your child's profile, add them to friends, or leave comments under their posts.
  • Stricter moderation for content displayed in the feed and for image generation. Potentially unsafe images are not shown in the feed and won't be generated by prompts. Even Shedevrum users' avatars are replaced with funny pictures in the child's feed.
  • Exit kids mode with a password.

How to enter

To enter kids mode:

1. Tap in the bottom right.
2. In the top-right corner, tap → Kids mode.

How to exit

To exit kids mode:

1. In the top-right corner, tap → Exit kids mode.
2. Enter the password and tap Exit.

Viewing the feed

The home screen with the feed opens automatically when you log in to Shedevrum. To switch to the feed from another section, tap at the bottom left.

The home screen has two tabs at the top:

• Recent: Recent posts by Shedevrum users. In kids mode, only safe posts are shown.

To find a specific post or view content related to a certain topic, tap and enter your query. You can also select a query from your search history: it will appear when you tap in the search box.

Posting

Images

In kids mode, you can create images just like in the regular one. The difference is that kids mode also supports voice prompts — this can be useful if you child can't write yet.

To generate an image:

1. Tap .

2. Describe the image you want to create with a voice or text prompt. For voice input, tap and say what you want to generate. Shedevrum will recognize your voice prompt and display it as text. You can edit this text or repeat the prompt.

3. Tap Create and wait for generation to complete. The neural network will start generating the image. It usually takes under a minute.

4. You can change the generated image:

   • To generate another image using the same description, tap at the bottom.
   • To change the description, tap the prompt text and edit it. Tap Create.
   • To delete the image, tap .

5. Select one of the suggested images and tap Done in the bottom-right corner. The image will appear in your profile and in other users' feeds.
