# Clear cache

Browser cache contains copies of pages, videos, images, and other content you've viewed in the browser. Cache helps to lower the number of requests to websites. If the page you want to view is already cached, the browser instantly loads it from your hard drive.

You need to clear your browser cache regularly to free up hard drive space or if pages are displayed incorrectly (for example, the older versions).
