Setting up links to external applications

In Tracker issues, you can add links to objects in external applications, for example, version control systems or third-party issue trackers.

• With the basic functionality of links to external applications, you can add and remove links in Tracker via the API and enable the display of application icons, object keys (IDs), and object links in issues.

• You can also use advanced link functionality, which requires external application support and allows you to set up displaying detailed information about linked objects user interface.

To enable creating links:

1. Get your application ready for integration with Tracker:

   • Provide network access and authentication.
   • If necessary, add support for advanced external link functionality.

2. Send the Tracker team the data required to register your application. The team will add your application to the list of available ones. After that, you can create links to your application in any Tracker queue.

3. Use the Tracker API to create links to your external application:

   • Getting a list of external applications
   • Getting a list of issue external links
   • Adding an external link
   • Deleting an external link
