Goals

With goals in Yandex Tracker, you can manage the progress of a company, division, or team. A goal defines the desired outcome or result that a team has to achieve. For example, to increase sales, enhance brand awareness, or improve performance metrics.

To evaluate the goal progress, add a list of key results to the goal page in Yandex Tracker. These are time-bound quantitative metrics. For each list item, you can specify the assignee and set the deadline for achieving the key result.

Getting started

Use the goal features in Yandex Tracker to orchestrate the work of company divisions and employees and assess their results:

To open all goals available to you, click  Goals in the left-hand panel or follow the direct link. To open the goal page, select it from the list.

The goal page provides the key details:

  • Goal description: Expected outcome or result.
  • Goal progress: Indicates the stage of goal completion or the progress made toward achieving the goal.
  • Key results: Time-bound quantitative metrics that can be used to measure the progress toward the goal.
  • Deadline: Deadline for achieving the goal.
  • Goal author, lead, customers, and participants.
  • Goal status: Attribute that shows the current progress toward goal completion.
  • Metrics: Yandex Tracker widgets that visualize the goal progress. These metrics should match the indicators specified in key results.
  • Linked goals, subgoals, and projects that align with the main goal.
  • Comments: Important notes on the work progress. For example, they can provide reasons for changes in goal status or notifications about achieving the key results.

For a detailed description of goal parameters, see Managing goals.

To restrict access to a goal, click the icon in the top right corner of the page and set up participant permissions.
