In Yandex Tracker, access rights to goals, projects, and portfolios can be granted by an employee added to the Author or Lead field, or a user with the Configure accesspermission. Access can be granted to:
Participants only: Employees added to the Author, Responsible, Followers, and Participants fields.
Not only participants: Participants of the goal, project, or portfolio along with other users, robots, or groups.
Granting access
Open a goal, project, or portfolio page.
Click in the top right corner. The current access settings are displayed next to the icon: Only participants or Not only participants.
Add users or groups that need access.
Select the actions that you want to allow the user or group:
View: Users can open a goal, project, or portfolio by clicking the link or selecting them from the list.
Edit: Users can make and save edits.
Full access: Users can view, edit, and manage access settings for other users.
Click Save.
After you confirm your changes, the Not only participants access status will appear on the top panel. All participants of the goal, project, or portfolio, as well as selected users, will have access to it.
Inheriting access settings from a parent
If a goal, project, or portfolio belongs to an entity of a higher level, you can enable inheriting access rights from this entity. For example, if you need to grant access to a portfolio and all its nested projects to a specific user group only, configure access rights to the portfolio and enable the inheritance of settings for the nested projects.
Rights can be only inherited from the main entity that is one level higher.
To enable inheriting:
Open the page of a sub-goal, additional project, or portfolio.
Click in the top right corner.
A special section will appear in the settings window. Click Link.
You can view the differences between the access rights of the parent and child entity and choose whether you want to change the settings. To do this, click Compare.
To disable inheriting the access settings, click Unlink in the same section.
Restricting access
Open a goal, project, or portfolio page.
In the top right corner, click Not participants only.
To the right of the group, click and select an access level from the drop-down list.
To remove a user or group from the list, click → Revoke access.
