How to add employees to a project

Each project has the Resources tab. In this tab, managers can distribute employee workload both within your organization's projects and among them. Here you can specify the percentage of time each employee will dedicate to the project. The tab also displays other projects the employee is involved in.

For example, a manager can add an employee and indicate that they need to dedicate 50% of their time to this project.

Adding employees to a project

  1. Open the project page and go to the Resources tab.

  2. To add an employee or group to the project, click Add resource.

  3. In the Workload in this project column, enter the approximate percentage of working time the employee will dedicate to the project.

    If you specify the workload for a group, the same workload value is applied to everyone in this group. If their contribution to the project differs, expand the list of group members and specify the workload for each person separately.

To edit project workload, hover over the value and click on the right.

To remove an employee from the project, click Delete to the right of the employee. You can also remove a group participant — they will disappear only from the project's resources.

Viewing the workload of project participants

The Total workload bar displays the employee's or group's workload across all projects of the organization. If an employee’s total workload exceeds 100%, allocate it to other project participants.

The group's workload is displayed only if you specify the same value for all its participants. If their contribution to the project differs, expand the list of group members and view the workload for each employee separately.

You can sort the list of participants by parameters in the table columns: click Sorting above the list or use the same button to the right of the column name.
