Components

Components help you group issues within a queue based on a shared subject, such as a specific product, pipeline, or responsible party. You can create multiple components in a queue.

For example, using components, you can classify requests to technical support.

Creating a component

To create a new queue component:

  1. In the left-hand panel, click  Queues and select a queue from the list.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select  Queue actions Components.

  3. Click Create component.

  4. Name the component.

  5. If necessary, select the component owner and fill out the description.

  6. Select Assign to issues by default if you want new issues with this component to be automatically assigned to the component owner.

  7. Click Create.

Editing a component

To change an existing component of the queue:

  1. In the left-hand panel, click  Queues and select a queue from the list.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select  Queue actions Components.

  3. Hover the cursor over the component.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Make your changes and click Save.

Subscribing to a component

If you want to get notified about changes in issues linked to a specific component, you can subscribe to such a component:

  1. In the left-hand panel, click  Queues and select a queue from the list.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select  Queue actions Components.

  3. Hover the cursor over the component.

  4. Select Subscribe to issues with this component.

Setting permissions for issues with components

You can modify granted permissions for issues with components in the queue settings:

  1. In the left-hand panel, click  Queues and select a queue from the list.

  2. Go to  Queue settingsPermissionsIssues with component.

In this section, you can also manage components: edit and delete them or create new ones.

Viewing component issues

You can view a list of issues linked to a specific component.

  1. In the left-hand panel, click  Queues and select a queue from the list.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select  Queue actions Components.

  3. Tap the component name.

Deleting a component

To delete a queue component:

  1. In the left-hand panel, click  Queues and select a queue from the list.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select  Queue actions Components.

  3. Hover the cursor over the component.

  4. Select Delete.

  5. Confirm the deletion.
