# Components

Components help you group issues within a [queue](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/user/queue.md) based on a shared subject, such as a specific product, pipeline, or responsible party. You can create multiple components in a queue.

For example, using components, you can [classify requests to technical support](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/support-process-group.md).


## Creating a component {#create-component}

To create a new queue component:

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![](../_assets/svg/queues-ni.svg) **Queues** and select a queue from the list.

1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> **Queue actions** → ![](../_assets/svg/components.svg)</svg> **Components**.

1. Click **Create component**.

1. **Name** the component.

1. If necessary, select the component owner and fill out the description.

1. Select **Assign to issues by default** if you want new issues with this component to be automatically assigned to the component owner.

1. Click **Create**.

## Editing a component {#edit-component}

To change an existing component of the queue:

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![](../_assets/svg/queues-ni.svg) **Queues** and select a queue from the list.

1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> **Queue actions** → ![](../_assets/svg/components.svg)</svg> **Components**.

1. Hover the cursor over the component.

1. Select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> → **Edit**.

1. Make your changes and click **Save**.

## Subscribing to a component {#subscribe-component}

If you want to get notified about changes in issues linked to a specific component, you can subscribe to such a component:

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![](../_assets/svg/queues-ni.svg) **Queues** and select a queue from the list.

1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> **Queue actions** → ![](../_assets/svg/components.svg)</svg> **Components**.

1. Hover the cursor over the component.

1. Select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> → **Subscribe to issues with this component**.


## Setting permissions for issues with components {#access}

You can modify [granted permissions for issues with components](queue-access-types#access-component) in the queue settings:

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![](../_assets/svg/queues-ni.svg) **Queues** and select a queue from the list.

1. Go to ![](../_assets/svg/settings.svg)</svg> **Queue settings** → **Permissions** → **Issues with component**.

In this section, you can also manage components: edit and delete them or create new ones.

## Viewing component issues {#show-tasks-component}

You can view a list of issues linked to a specific component.

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![](../_assets/svg/queues-ni.svg) **Queues** and select a queue from the list.

1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> **Queue actions** → ![](../_assets/svg/components.svg)</svg> **Components**.

1. Tap the component name.

## Deleting a component {#delete-component}

To delete a queue component:

1. In the left-hand panel, click ![](../_assets/svg/queues-ni.svg) **Queues** and select a queue from the list.

1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> **Queue actions** → ![](../_assets/svg/components.svg)</svg> **Components**.

1. Hover the cursor over the component.

1. Select ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> → **Delete**.

1. Confirm the deletion.
