In Tracker, a project is a set of issues that have a common goal. Projects are not linked to issue queues. That is why you can use projects to group issues from different teams focused on the same goal. You can combine multiple projects into a [project portfolio](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/portfolio.md). ## Getting started {#quick-start} To start working on a project in Yandex Tracker, [create](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/create-project.md) a new project and add issues. Projects may include issues from different queues. Plan your work and manage your timeframes using a [Gantt chart](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/gantt/project.md). Use [milestones](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/milestones.md) to track a project's progress and monitor its deadlines. ## Project page {#page} In the new Yandex Tracker interface, you can open any projects available to you from the navigation panel on the left: click ![](../_assets/svg/project.svg) **Projects** or follow the link [https://tracker.yandex.com/pages/projects/list ![](../_assets/svg/new-window.svg)](https://tracker.yandex.com/pages/projects/list) and select a project from the list. The project page shows the details of the team, goals, and issues of the project. * **About the project** tab. Project description, status, timeline, project author and owner, list of team members, comments, customers, [milestones](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/milestones.md), [links](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/create-project.md#links) to other projects and portfolios, tags. * **Issue lists** tab. The list shows both open issues and closed issues. You can filter the issue list. The Gantt chart specifies the timeframes of the issues and relationships between them. For more information, see [Gantt chart in projects Tracker](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/gantt/project.md). * **Issue boards** tab A virtual board with cards that makes it easy to track statuses of project issues. For more information, see [Issue board](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/boards-project.md). You can also find the project board in the ![](../_assets/svg/boards.svg) **Boards** section in the left-hand panel. It is named **`` project board**. The **Issues** bar in the upper-right corner displays the project progress: how many issues have been completed out of the total number. To commit changes to the project activities, [update the project status](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/create-project.md#update). To restrict access to the project, click the lock icon in the top-right corner and select **Members only**. In this case, the project will only be available to the users listed in the fields: **Participants**, **Author**, **Customers**, and **Lead**. ## Configuring project parameter lists {#fields} To customize the parameters (fields) shown in the right sidebar, click **Edit parameter list** and choose the ones you want. Specifics: * If a field is not empty, it always appears in the sidebar. You can only hide the parameters that have no value set. * You can't hide some parameters, such as **Included in the portfolio**, **Status**, **Start date**, **Deadline**, **Author**, and **Lead**. * The list display settings are saved individually for each user and apply to all projects that the user views. ## Opening the list of projects and portfolios {#list} 1. Go to the home page ![](../_assets/svg/home.svg). {#home} 1. In the upper-left corner, tap ![](../_assets/svg/burger.svg) and select ![](../_assets/svg/project.svg) **Projects and portfolios**. 1. To find the object you need in the list, use the filters at the top of the list, such as **Favorites**, **Recently viewed**, and **I'm responsible**. To search for a project or portfolio by name, tap ![](../_assets/svg/search.svg) in the upper-right corner and enter text in the search box. ## Creating a project or portfolio {#create} 1. At the bottom, under ![](../_assets/svg/project.svg) **Projects and portfolios**, tap ![](../_assets/svg/create-task.svg). 1. Select an object: ![](../_assets/svg/project.svg) **Project** or ![](../_assets/svg/portfolio.svg) **Portfolio**. The new object's page opens.
