How to create an issue chat in Yandex Messenger
You can create chats only when using Yandex Tracker with a Yandex 360 plan.
This feature is unavailable in Only Tracker plans or Yandex Cloud organizations. Yandex Tracker pricing policy
To discuss various questions with your team swiftly and avoid losing information while working on an issue, create an issue chat in Yandex Messenger . You'll find the chat link in the issue interface.
Creating a chat
- Open the issue page.
- At the top, click Actions → Create chat in Messenger.
- In the New chat window, give the chat a name and a description.
- To add a participant, start typing their name or username. The issue's author and assignee are added to the chat by default.
You can add up to 20 participants to the chat through the Yandex Tracker interface. - By default, the only chat administrator is its author. You can add no more than nine other administrators.
- Specify who will be able to access the chat via a link:
- Employees only: Only users you added through the Yandex Tracker interface will have access to the chat.
- All users: Other users will be able to get access to the chat later by using an invite link.
- Tap Create.

Opening a chat
Once the chat has been created, a notification will appear at the bottom of the screen: click Go to chat.
Later, you can open the chat in one of the following ways:
- Click the link to Yandex Messenger under Links to external applications.
- In the upper-right corner of the page, click Actions → Open chat in Messenger.
Adding participants
You can only add participants if you have created a chat with the All users access setting.
To add additional participants to the issue chat, share an invite link with them:
- After creating the chat, go to Yandex Messenger.
- In the chat settings, enable the Invite link option.
- Copy the link that appears in the chat information window (the link looks like this:
https://yandex.ru/chat/#/join/) and send it to your colleagues.
You can also get the invite link from the notification in Yandex Tracker that appears immediately after creating the chat: click Copy link.
