# Deleting a template

Deleting a template is an irreversible operation. If you plan to use this template again at some point, instead of deleting it, you can [disable](#disable) it.

To delete a template of an issue or comment:

   In the left-hand panel, click ![](../_assets/svg/settings-360.svg) **Settings** → ![](../_assets/svg/notification-link.svg)</svg> **Notifications**. {#notif}

1. Select the tab you need:
    - [Issues](https://tracker.yandex.com/settings/templates/issues) to edit issue templates.
    - [Comments](https://tracker.yandex.com/settings/templates/comments) to edit comment templates.

1. Click **Queue** and **Owner** to filter out the templates if required.

1. Next to the template, click ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> → ![](../_assets/svg/delete.svg)</svg> **Delete**.

## Disabling a template {#disable}

If you are not going to use a template anytime soon, you can disable it. Disabled templates are saved in Tracker, but they are not displayed when creating new issues.

To disable the template, switch the toggle next to it.
