# Limits and allowed values in Tracker

This page lists user-accessible fields and objects for which Tracker limits the format, size, or number of values. In addition to the rules below, each field value must match the field type. Other data consistency checks aren't covered here.

## Attachments {#attachments}

| Parameter | Type | Limit |

| `name` | `String` | Required. Up to 2,000 characters. |
| `size` | `long` | The size must not be zero. The maximum size of an attached file (for each file) is 128 MB in the Yandex Tracker interface or via the API. |

## Issue boards {#boards}

| Parameter | Type | Limit |

| `name` | `String` | Required and non-empty. Up to 2,000 characters. |
| `columns` | `ListF<BoardColumn>` | All columns must be unique. |
| `queues` | `ListF<QueueRef>` | Up to 20 queues. |
| `backlogAvailable`, `sprintsAvailable` | `Option<Boolean>` | Backlog and sprints must be enabled or disabled together. |

## Board notes {#board-notes}

## Comments {#comments}

An issue can have up to 1,000 comments.

## Comment templates {#comment-templates}

## Components {#components}

A queue can have up to 10,000 components.

## Global fields {#custom-db-fields}

## Dashboards {#dashboards}

## Employee absences {#absences}

Only support staff can create absences; in B2B, this permission is available to organization admins.

## Issues {#issues}

We recommend adding no more than 300 followers to an issue. If you add more followers, the issue page may take longer to load.

| `localFields` | `MapF<String, Object>` | Values must match the field types. |
| `checklistItems` | `ListF<ChecklistItem>` | The text of each item can be up to 2,000 characters. |

### Field type limits {#field-types}

These limits apply to system, global, and local issue fields, as well as fields of other objects that are validated by field type.

| Field type | Limit |
| --- | --- |
| Drop-down list | Up to 3,000 values. When selecting a value, up to 10 items are displayed. |
| `StringFieldType` | Up to 32,766 characters. A required field must not be empty. |
| `IcuStringFieldType` | Same limits as for `StringFieldType`. |
| `MetaEntityStatusFieldType` | Same limits as for `StringFieldType`. |
| `TagsFieldType` | A non-empty value with no commas or spaces. Up to 480 characters. |
| `EmailFieldType` | The value must match the email address format. |
| `WikiPageIdFieldType` | The ID must be non-empty. A list can contain up to 100 pages. |
| `UriFieldType` | Up to 32,766 characters. |
| `IntegerFieldType` | An integer from −2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647. |
| `LongFieldType` | A value of the `long` type. |
| `FloatFieldType` | A finite number. `NaN`, `+INF`, and `−INF` aren't allowed. |
| `BooleanFieldType` | A `Boolean` value or a `Number` equal to `0` or `1`. |
| `TimeTrackingDurationFieldType` | The period must not contain years or months. |
| `DateFieldType` | A date from `0001-01-01` to `3000-01-01`. |
| `DateTimeFieldType` | A date and time from `0001-01-01` to `3000-01-01`. |
| `QuarterFieldType` | A quarter date from `0001-01-01` to `3000-01-01`. |
| `PaletteColorFieldType` | The key can contain up to 32 characters and must match the `(\d\|\w\|-\|_)+` regular expression. |
| `UserToDoubleFieldType` | The user must exist, and `value` must not be `null`. |
| `ChecklistItemFieldType` | The text must be non-empty and contain up to 2,000 characters. The URL can contain up to 32,766 characters. |
| `MetricItemFieldType` | The text must be non-empty and contain up to 2,000 characters. The URL can contain up to 32,766 characters. |
| `KeyResultItemFieldType` | The text must be non-empty and contain up to 2,000 characters. For the `VALUE` type, `progress` is required. In `progress`, `start` and `end` are required. Numeric values must be finite. |
| `UserFieldType` | The user must exist. |
| `IssueFieldType` | The issue must exist. |
| `QueueFieldType` | The queue must exist. |
| `StatusFieldType` | The status must exist. |
| `PriorityFieldType` | The priority must exist. |
| `ResolutionFieldType` | The resolution must exist. |

## Issue macros {#issue-macros}

A queue can have up to 1,000 macros.

## Queues {#queues}

You can add up to 20 [forms](https://yandex.ru/support/tracker/en/manager/about-forms-integration.md) to a queue.

| `key` | `String` | Required. From 2 to 15 Latin letters. The value is converted to uppercase. |
| `name` | `String` | Required. From 2 to 40 characters after leading and trailing spaces are removed. |

| `wikiPageIds` | `ListF<String>` | Up to 100 IDs. |

## Reminders {#reminders}

You can create up to 100 reminders for an issue.

Meta-entities provide a common interface for projects, portfolios, goals, reports, and new objects. Their fields are subject to the same type-based limits as issue fields.

## SLA rules {#sla-settings}

A queue can have up to 30 SLA rules.
