Yandex Translate can become better if you share your suggestions. If you think some options are missing in Yandex Translate, suggest an improvement in the chat or via the form below.

Translation error

If you consider a mistake in a translation or in a dictionary, you can report it in the app.

To do this, click , select the mistake, and click Report. You can also leave a comment.

Text-to-speech doesn't work

For most languages, the app uses voices from your device.

If text-to-speech doesn't work, restart the app. To do this:

  1. Go to the panel that displays all running apps (multitasking panel).

  2. Swipe up to close Yandex Translate.

  3. Open the Yandex Translate app again.

If this doesn't help, reboot the device.

Offline translation doesn't work

Download offline dictionaries for each language you want to use. For example, to translate from Russian to English offline, download the Russian dictionary (the English dictionary is pre-installed).

Before downloading the language dictionaries, make sure you have a stable internet connection.

Translating text in images doesn't work

Make sure the text in the image is recognizable. The app doesn't recognize:

  • Blurred images.

  • Skewed images.

  • Italics and hand-written text.

Translating text in images is available for a limited number of languages. You can find a list of the recognized languages in the Translating text in images section.

Voice input doesn't work

For most languages, the app uses system speech recognition.

If text-to-speech doesn't work, restart the app. To do this:

  1. Go to the panel that displays all running apps (multitasking panel).

  2. Swipe up to close Yandex Translate.

  3. Open the Yandex Translate app again.

I can't find the language I need

We are constantly working on adding new languages. Let us know what languages do you need via the chat or using the form below. We'll do our best to consider your suggestions.

App crashes or doesn't launch
  1. If possible, open your device's Screen Recording tool and record the sequence of actions leading to the crash.

  2. If you can access the app settings, open the About section and click the Yandex Translate logo. Your UUID will be copied to the clipboard. Attach it to the error report.

  3. Send us all the information via the form below.
