A concise informative answer to the user's query.
Quick answers come in many forms, varying in the presence of text, images, phone numbers, and how they're grouped. Such answers typically appear above or next to search results. Quick answers may also be displayed as related questions on the same topic. In this case, they appear among search results.
Quick answers are aimed at increasing the Proficit of search results (a metric for evaluating their helpfulness to the user).
The answers contain a valid link to the source site, where users can find more detailed information.
Quick answers are generated using multiple Yandex algorithms.
Quick answers can appear even before the user has finished inputting their search term.
Quick answers with YandexGPT
Some quick answers are generated using the YandexGPT language model. YandexGPT finds several best sources for the user's query in real time. Then the neural network summarizes the information from each source. It doesn't matter whether the text that should comprise the answer is in different parts of the page. After that, YandexGPT analyzes the resulting answers and picks the most helpful one.
Such quick answers are generated only for the Russian region.
If you don't want information from your site to be included in quick answers with YandexGPT, add a restriction for "YandexAdditional" or "YandexAdditionalBot" in the robots.txt file.*
Example:
User-agent: YandexAdditionalBot
Disallow: /cats/mycat.html # restricts the display of page content in quick responses with YandexGPT
* The change will take effect as soon as Yandex robots recrawl the page, which typically takes 2–14 days.
How to set it up
Quick answers are generated automatically from pages that were indexed by Yandex.
Your web page is more likely to be used in a quick answer if the information on that page is well structured, informative, and grammatically correct.
