Description

Copied or rewritten content taken from somewhere else

  • The content is fully or partially copied from other resources.
  • Information from several source pages is combined into one.
  • Articles copied from a dynamic source (for example, search results or a news feed).
  • Information copied from the original source with minimal changes (for example, a few words were replaced).
What content is NOT considered low‑value
  • Original descriptions of products, services, events, organizations, software, instructions, and manuals.
  • Texts of books, songs, jokes, quotes, and aphorisms.
  • Official documents, laws, standards, document templates.
  • Press releases.
  • Site's own texts published on other platforms (for example, on social media).

Text appears to be AI-generated or doesn't provide additional value

Often, such content is created using neural networks, machine translation, or template methods (inserting keywords and phrases) without additional proofreading or editing. Texts like that are still original on paper, but they offer little value to the reader. Typical markers:

  • Deviation from the main topic or cyclic repetition of the same arguments.
  • Sentences that artificially increase volume without actually adding anything.
  • Lack of practical value. For example, superficial reasoning based on the page title.
  • Fictitious or unverified facts presented as reliable and true.

Automatically generated catalogs

  • Sites where catalogs of goods or services are created from automatically obtained data from other resources.
  • Pages that don't have working categories and filters, and there is no option to sort products. There is also outdated or inaccurate information.

Markes of a site with useful content

  • The site addresses the user's needs.
  • Provides a high-quality, reliable, credible, and clear answer to the search query.
  • Contains original content not copied from other sources.
  • Contains text that is easy to read.
  • Easy to navigate. Has a clear purpose.
  • Appears trustworthy and has good traffic for its niche.

How to fix or prevent the violation

Make sure that your site:

  • Doesn't rely on fully or partially copied text.
  • Uses text that actually has value for people reading it.
  • Doesn't have auto-generated catalogs.

Is structured into sections (including catalogs) that are useful, up-to-date, and easy to navigate.
