Owners of sites with student papers
Yandex search doesn't support student paper snippets from the XML feed anymore. Use the Schema.org markup to generate special snippets.
Pages that contain descriptions of student papers and similar works can have special snippets displayed in search results. Snippets describe the most important information for users. This includes the category, type of work (summary paper, term paper, master's thesis, report, and so on), publication date, number of downloads, abstract or table of contents.
Site and content requirements
The site must be a student paper site. A student paper site is a resource that lets students publish papers written as part of coursework. These papers can be viewed and downloaded by other users for free.
Each site page should contain information about one paper. The information should be the main content of the page. You don't have to put the text of the paper or any part of it on this page.
How to improve site page snippets
To generate a special snippet, Yandex needs to know which parts of a page correspond to certain semantic units. For example, paper title, annotations, category (subject), file format and size, and so on.
To send structured data about the paper to Yandex, use the Schema.org markup. To generate the snippet correctly, send values for all required fields. The marked up data should correspond to the page content shown when you click on the link.
Yandex does not guarantee that the information will be displayed in the search results.
Yandex reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to utilize or not utilize the information you sent or any part of it with any of its services, either separately or jointly with information obtained from other sources.
Please remember that Yandex isn't responsible for the accuracy of information shown in the snippet. The conditions releasing Yandex from the guarantees listed in the User agreement also fully apply to the information shown in snippets.
