Deleting a Wiki page

If the information on the page might be useful in the future, instead of deleting it, move it to another cluster or mark it as obsolete:

To delete a page, you must be its author, co-author, or editor+. The same roles are required for all its subpages: they will be deleted together with the parent page. Learn more about roles in User roles in Wiki.

If you restore a deleted parent page, its subpages will also be restored.

To delete a page:

  1. Open the page and in the top-right corner, click Actions Delete.

  2. Check which pages link to this page and remove or replace the links if necessary.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

Setting the deleted page retention period

By default, a deleted page can be restored within 30 days. After this period expires, all information on the page and its change history will be permanently deleted. To set a different retention period:

  1. In the left panel, click Administration.
  2. Under General settings, to the right of Deleted pages storage period, select a new value: 3 months or 6 months.

Restoring a deleted page

A deleted Wiki page can be restored within the period set by the Wiki administrator in the settings.

  1. In the main menu to the left, click  Revision history.

  2. Go to the Recently deleted tab.

  3. To the right of the page, click  Restore.

The page will appear in the original cluster with all its settings and content.

To permanently delete a page without the possibility of restoring it, click  Delete permanently to the right of the page.
