What you should know about moving pages
-
If you have no access to subpages, you cannot move a page with its subpages.
-
Files located on the page are moved to its new address.
-
The URL of the old page will automatically redirect users to the new address. See Redirect to another page. If the page becomes available at the old address again, the redirect will be removed.
-
If you're moving the page with the Same as parent page access type, you can either keep or change its access settings:
-
Link to new parent: The page will inherit access settings from the new parent page.
-
Keep as is: Users and groups who had access to the page before it was moved will retain it. They'll be added to the page's access list.
For more information about setting up access, see Configuring access to a page.
