Page types

In addition to regular text, you can add dynamic tables to Yandex Wiki pages. You can also use templates, which are preset page structures to help you create standard pages quickly.

Page in the new editor

The visual editor allows you to work with page text as usual, just as you do in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. If you prefer the Markdown markup, you can use it. Wiki supports YFM markup, an extended version of Markdown featuring additional formatting elements.

You cannot convert a page created in the new editor into a page in the old editor format.

Page editing mode in the new editor looks like this:

Template

This is a page that you can create in advance and use for standard tasks, such as preparing documentation or team performance reviews.

Dynamic table

This type allows you to specify data types in columns, sort values, and make cells required. You can use a table directly or embed it in a page. For more information, see Dynamic table.

Page in the old editor

You can use the old editor to create a page with text, images, tables, attached files, and more. The old editor partially supports the visual markup editor, but primarily uses the Markdown markup.

Note

Creating new pages in the legacy editor is no longer possible.

However, you can easily convert any existing pages from the legacy editor to the new editor format. For more information, see Switching a page to the new editor format.
