Checking the progress of a campaign

With Adfox, you can keep track of your campaign progress if the campaign is limited in terms of impressions, clicks, or time. Please note that targeting parameters are not factored in the progress assessment.

To check campaign progress, go to Campaigns → Commercial. You can view the progress in the Actual / Plan column.

Clicking on the campaign row opens a side panel with the general campaign settings and its delivery progress and forecast. If the Campaign/flight/banner hierarchy module is enabled in the account, the campaign progress indicator is available at the flight level.

Note

If there is no Actual / Plan column in the list of campaigns, click the above the list and in the Column Settings window check whether the display of this column is enabled.

Checking the progress of a campaign with a general limit

For campaigns with a total limit on the number of impressions and/or clicks, a progress indicator is displayed and the following metrics are available:

1. Actual impression rate

Shown as a percentage and color-coded. Calculated using the following formula:

Actual rate=actual impressionstotal impression limit × 100%Actual\ rate\mathrm {=\frac{actual\ impressions}{total\ impression\ limit} \ } \times \ 100\%

To sort the list of campaigns by the actual rate, click Actual progress ↓ in the column name. Campaigns will be sorted in descending order. If you click it again, the order will switch to ascending.

2. Expected impression rate

Marked with | on the indicator. Calculated using the following formula:

Expected rate=potential impressionstotal impression limit × 100%Expected\ rate\mathrm {=\frac{potential\ impressions}{total\ impression\ limit} \ } \times \ 100\%

The number of potential ad impressions is calculated based on the assumption that they are evenly distributed over time during the entire campaign period.

Note

The metric is only displayed if the campaign end date is set.

3. Plan compliance

Calculated using the following formula:

Plan compliance=actual impression rateexpected impression rate × 100%Plan\ compliance\mathrm {=\frac{actual\ impression\ rate}{expected\ impression\ rate} \ } \times \ 100\%

If plan compliance is 95% or more, it means that the campaign is likely to be completed on time or even before the specified end date.

In such cases, the campaign progress indicator is green.

If the metric is between 80% and 95%, there is a risk that the campaign may not be completed on time.

The campaign progress indicator will be yellow.

If plan compliance is less than 80%, the risk of failure to complete the campaign on time increases. In this case, we recommend changing the campaign targeting and analyzing other campaigns that use the same inventory.

The campaign progress indicator will be red.

To sort the list of campaigns by plan compliance, click Plan compliance ↓ in the column name. Campaigns will be sorted in descending order. If you click it again, the order will switch to ascending.

Note

The metric is only displayed if the campaign end date is set.

1. Actual click rate

Shown as a percentage and color-coded. Calculated using the following formula:

Actual rate=actual clickstotal click limit × 100%Actual\ rate\mathrm {=\frac{actual\ clicks}{total\ click\ limit} \ } \times \ 100\%

To sort the list of campaigns by the actual rate, click Actual progress ↓ in the column name. Campaigns will be sorted in descending order. If you click it again, the order will switch to ascending.

2. Expected click rate

Marked with | on the indicator. Calculated using the following formula:

Expected rate=potential clickstotal click limit × 100%Expected\ rate\mathrm {=\frac{potential\ clicks}{total\ click\ limit} \ } \times \ 100\%

The number of potential clicks is calculated based on the assumption that they are evenly distributed over time during the entire campaign period.

Note

The metric is only displayed if the campaign end date is set.

3. Plan compliance

Calculated using the following formula:

Plan compliance=actual click rateexpected click rate × 100%Plan\ compliance\mathrm {=\frac{actual\ click\ rate}{expected\ click\ rate} \ } \times \ 100\%

If a campaign has impression and click limits, the indicator only shows campaign progress related to clicks.

Checking the progress of a campaign without impression and click limits

If there are no impression and/or click limits set for the campaign, its progress is displayed as a chart with data on impressions (clicks) for the last 7 days:

If there were no ad impressions/clicks for the campaign in the last 7 days, the campaign progress chart is not available.
