Translating text in images
To translate text from photos and images:

Tap
at the bottom of the screen.

Point your camera at the text. Yandex Translate immediately tries to translate it. You don't need to take a photo.
To select an image on your device, tap
on the right.
To take a picture, tap
on the left.

If you want to change image orientation, tap
.

To translate an individual word, tap it. You will see a dictionary entry with examples from literature and movies.

You can copy the translated text into the text input field. To do this, tap .
Troubleshooting
I can't launch the camera
Check your input language. Below is a list of languages that are recognized in images:

The camera doesn't recognize text
The app doesn't identify blurred or skewed images as well as italics and hand-written text. Try to take a clear photo.
The image came out black or distorted
