About the Yandex Translate app for iOS

Translate text and images using the Yandex Translate app for iOS 14.0 devices and Apple Watch with WatchOS 2 and later.

The app uses machine translation technology developed by Yandex. Yandex Translate works with both traditional (Chinese, Spanish, German) and uncommon languages (Elvish, Esperanto, Emoji). The app works for more than 90 languages.

Words of the day and new features

If the language of your device is Russian or English, the phrase of the day in the target language and a description of the app's new features are displayed on the Yandex Translate home screen. The phrases are updated daily.

If a different interface language is selected on your device, your home screen displays only a description of the app's new features.

To listen to a word or phrase in the target language, tap the corresponding area. To go to a new feature from the announcement, tap the area with the description of the feature.

Swipe up or tap the input field to hide the area with phrases and features. Swipe down to reopen the area.
